PICS: SENQU MAYOR DELIVERS SHOES TO NEEDY SCHOOL KIDS

STERKSPRUIT: The executive Mayor of Senqu Local Municipality Councillor Velile Stokhwe kept his promise as he delivered 250 pairs of shoes to school children.

The Mayor’s generous gesture is an effort between a major banking institution, Standard Bank South Africa.

According to a statement from the Municipality. Stokhwe partnered with the banking company and brought smiles to children from five different primary schools in and around the sleepy town of Sterkspruit.

The schools that benefited from this donation are Ndingishe, Nkopane, Transwilger, Majuba Nek and Mpoki Primary Schools.

In his words, Stokhwe said thst “providing shoes to the needy kids is more than a donation but it’s all about believing in every child’s potential.”

He added that once the children are equipped with essentials, they can thrive academically and boost their self-esteem.

In addition, the executive Mayor praised the banking partner, Standard Bank for their continued support in making the donation a success.
