SAPS DETECTIVES ARREST TWO FOR DRUGS & ILLEGAL GUN
NGQAYI: Members of the South African Police Services continued with their fight to rid the community of drugs and illegal firearms.
In Ngqayi, the men in blue continued efforts to eradicate the proliferation of illegal firearms and to prevent the possession and dealing in drugs yield successful in Ngqayi policing area.

Captain Ursula Roelofse said during the weekend, the detective team was busy with investigation on house robbery cases at Tsitsana location when they received information that there is a male who is having a firearm that he allegedly use in crime activities.
Upon receiving the information, the police followed up and led them to Matugu location in Tsistana where the identified person was questioned.
“He led the members to his rondavel where he took out the firearm in his jacket a 9mm silver Flywheel,” said Roelofse.
“The 27 year old suspect could not provide a license for the firearm and was arrested and the firearm will be sent for ballistic testing for any possible linkages in other cases.”
In a second unrelated case at the same locality the members also followed up positive information on a suspect that is selling drugs.
“The suspect was identified and searched six small clear sachets of crystal meths was found inside his trouser,” added Roelofse.

“The 27 year old suspect was arrested and the suspects will appear at the Mount Fletcher Magistrate court.
