PSL TRANSFERS: SUNDOWNS LURE PORTUGUESE STAR
BETWAY PREM: Mamelodi Sundowns growth is going beyond the African continent after signing a Portuguese player Nuno Santos from Vitória Guimarães SC.
The midfielder arrived in Mzansi on Monday following an agreement by both clubs including personal terms for the transfer.
According to iDiski Times, Masandawana mentor Miguel Cardoso has made no secret that the club needs attacking reinforcements and Santos who can feature as a ten or an inverted winger has now been secured to bolster their first team squad.

Sources have confirmed the deal is around R20-million for the former Benfica and Charlotte playmaker, who has agreed a ‘long-term’ contract with Masandawana.
In other news, Kaizer Chiefs have released two players in Happy Mashiane and Samkelo Zwane who have been loaned out to Siwelele FC.
The reigning Nedbank Cup champions have been very active in the transfer window, signing 11 players.
However, it looks like their squad needed to be trimmed and coach Nasreddine Nabi stated that some players still had to leave before he himself got suspended by the club.
“Kaizer Chiefs have agreed to loan duo Happy Mashiane and Samkelo Zwane to Siwelele FC for the remainder of the 2025/26 season,” the club stated.
“Both players are products of the Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy. Mashiane, who plays at left-back and left-wing brings valuable CAF Champions League experience, while Zwane is widely regarded as one of the most talented young midfielders in the country.”
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates have released winger Katlego Otladisa who joined Marumo Gallants on Monday.

Otladisa failed to command a regular spot at Pirates under Jose Riveiro and the arrival of Abdeslam Ouaddou didn’t give the youngster the guarantees of regular game time.
“Marumo Gallants FC is proud to welcome back our former right winger, Katlego Otladisa,” the club stated.
Under Arthur Zwane’s guidance, AmaZulu have snapped up midfielder Liam Bern who was a free agent after parting ways with Cape Town Spurs.
The 22-year-old is one of four players who were declared free agents by the PSL DC after Spurs were relegated to the ABC Motsepe League, which is regarded as an amateur league, thus the players becoming free agents and available to join clubs of their choices.
In other news, Stellenosch failed to sign Thapelo Maseko from Sundowns on deadline day as Steve Barker wanted to bolster his ranks after a poor start to the new season – Stellies made a season-long loan offer for the out-of-favour winger, but the Chloorkop-based club turned it down.
