GCIS IN JOE GQABI WRAPS UP WOMEN’S MONTH IN STYLE

VENTERSTAD: The Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) in Joe Gqabi district concluded Women’s month in style.

In a press release from GCIS, the event was jointly hosted by the Women Entrepreneurship and Cooperatives dialogue at Venterstad Town hall.

Issued by Tlotlisang Koena who is the GCIS Regional Communications Coordinator, she said: “true to this year’s women’s month theme: building resilient economies for all; the session was used as a platform to empower and equip women on access to opportunities and tools, that will enable them to actively participate in the country’s economy.

“The Stakeholders present, who include Government departments and Banks encouraged the women to utilize all available opportunities to grow their businesses and strive for success.”

Meanwhile, she added that the event was hosted in Venterstad, particularly because the area is amongst very remote and impoverished areas in the Joe Gqabi district.

The Women in attendance appreciated the GCIS for organizing the dialogue which gave them access to information.
